Inspiration Gallery Hall of Fame
The Inspiration Gallery design for Polytechnic University consists of three monumental, translucent light-boxes, graphic artwork and exhibits created for the University's Wunsch Admissions Hall and Executive Office Suite. The three heroic, luminescent institutional mosaics embody the Poly's 19th century roots in classical collegiate education and emerging sciences, engineering and mathematics disiplines that led to America's technological ascension in the 20th century. The largest lyrical 19th century stained-glass classical display is from the school's original 1854 building. One hundred years later, Andrew Tobias created two first-of-their-kind "stained plexiglas" murals using the same color scheme based on technology developed at Polytechnic's Polymer Research Institute. Portraits, exhibits and biographical artwork depicting past and present institutional archetypes, facilities and equipment adorn the interior space. Exhibits |
